I love the psychological layers in Alex Michaelides' crime novels. As in "The Silent Patient", in "The Maidens" the author delves behind the 'veil' to the layers and depths of the human psyche. His writing invites the reader to willingly suspend disbelief, to inhabit Mariana's world. To happily give themselves over to the experience of being taught the finer points of a theory of psychotherapy, in this case, group therapy. In doing so, what fun the reader experiences unravelling clues and spotting the twist! Yes, Alex Michaelides writes the intriguing well.

The prologue and first four chapters of "The Maidens" promise an original, thrilling, psychological crime mystery. I'm in if you'll please share this book with me.
