The ancient Greek undertones are what grabbed me most about this newest book from the thrillride author of The Silent Patient. I was quickly swept back up in the grace of his writing with his description of Mariana's grief in the first chapter. And this second book had me wondering if the author may be a therapist (or was one in a past life), since this is his second novel with a heavy therapy plotline.

I am curious with this first impression to learn more about four things: who is Edward Fosca; why (and how) did our protagonist's husband die; tell me more about this desperate and seemingly obsessive patient Henry; and what is going on with this Zoe person.

I sense lots of twists and turns ahead with seemingly separate storylines that I think will find themselves crashing together before we get to the end. I love the way this man tells a story and cannot wait to read this one!
