When I saw who the author was, I was really excited. I haven't read The Silent Patient yet but I've heard great things about it. Reading this made me wonder if maybe I had too high of expectations? The tone feels pretty stiff and the sentences make for some abrupt stops. It feels very rigid, like it doesn't flow. Perhaps that's the point but I'm not feeling it yet. Curious as to what happens next
