What I liked about The Maidens is that right away, it draws you in, even with the first sentence. It instantly leaves me wanting more. Marina is a likable main character. I can feel her pain over her loss and I can sense she has a story to tell and a ride she wants to take readers on. I can't wait to see where her story goes.
