I enjoyed reading this sample of The Maidens! A sense of foreboding overlays these first few pages, and I'm excited to see where this story goes. Several threads of conflict have been set up with Mariana's group therapy client who is clearly unstable, along with her grief over Sebastian, and then that final phone call... Yes, I'm in.
