Alex Michaelide's sophomore book has all the signs of another winner. As someone who still recommends The Silent Patient, I have waiting for The Maidens. Well the preview provided has me wanting more. We've been teased with a group of interesting characters including Edward - who is the first name we read. And Mariana comes across as someone you just want to care about. And Henry. Well, we need to know more about him. And finally, what is on the news. Bet it ties back to Edward. We shall see.
