I can always tell when I would enjoy reading the book when the first impression portion flies by! This was the case with the starting chapters of the Maidens—- I’m interested in learning more about Mariana, her professional life as a therapist (and the self-harming Henry), and also how she is connected to Edward Fosca. Definite read for me!
