I was on the fence about this one when I read the synopsis for this one, but after reading the excerpt I definitely am more interested. Michaelides knows how to write. I'm not sure how I feel about Mariana as a protagonist, but I think the literary references could potentially be interesting. I'll need to read more before I can say more.
