I loved The Silent Patient so of course I want to read Mr Michaalides’ new book. I have very high hopes and expectations but I will try to tamp them down a bit so I am not disappointed if his sophomore effort just in case it isn’t as twisted and shocking as his first book.
We only got a very brief glimpse of The Maidens but it was intriguing. I am not sure how Mariana’s job as a therapist and the bit about her therapy group combined with the death of Sebastian and whomever Edward Fosca is all ties together but I am sure it will be a spellbinding thriller to dive into this summer.
