I already know I like Alex Michaelides' writing because I loved The Silent Patient. But this snippet of his new book is absolutely amazing. The author gives you just enough information to suck you in, but withholds some too. Not enough to make it feel like he's hiding stuff and being sneaky, but the perfect balance.
He's introduced a wide-range of characters and I'm excited to see who plays what role. Obviously Sebastian has been murdered and the author is setting Henry up to be the suspect, but it's never that easy. And I can tell it's going to be more than who did it. There's going to be a level of how it happened that I am really excited to discover.
This is going to be a book that I cannot put down until I devour the entire thing and I so excited for it!
