For me, if a thriller doesn’t pull me in in the first few chapters, I usually don’t end up enjoying it. Not having read his other book, I wasn’t sure what to expect from this excerpt, but now I am intrigued. Of course the snippet ended on a cliffhanger - I’ll probably be reading this regardless of whether or not I receive it on here!
