I absolutely loved The Silent Patient, easily one of my favorite twists in a thriller, and the book as a whole was unputdownable. I definitely see The Maidens being the same! Alex Michalides is an incredible author, his writing just sucks you in. I devoured this sneak peak. I love that the chapters are short, really makes it easy to read. Plus I felt the feels along with the characters - Mariana mourning Sebastian touched me - and I barely even know these characters. The writing is that good, I felt it right away. I like that Greece is incorporated into the story and I’m excited to see how Greek myths play into the rest of the story. And then of course, cliffhanger! Definitely hooked me and made me want to keep reading! I can’t wait to read the rest of this book, I know it won’t disappoint.
