I had a lot of mixed feelings after reading Alex Michaelides previous book, The Silent Patient. But it did leave me interested in wanting to read more from him in the future. So when I saw this book was coming out I was immediately interested. I thought the cover was so much nicer looking, as the synopsis sounded right up my alley. An unreliable narrator is one of my favorite tropes and this book plays right into that. I'm also interested in how this book is going to discuss trauma since that also seems to be a prominent feature of the story.
