Mariana is a group therapist. She had a somewhat troubling life herself, with her Mother who died young and her Father who couldn’t bare to look at her. It’s no surprise she wants to help other people. In her group, there is a troubling young man named Henry Booth. He also had a terrible past; even more so than Mariana. Henry is deeply connected to her with no sense of boundaries. Meanwhile Mariana is dealing with her own grief after her Husband has tragically died. That night she receives a phone call which presumably changes everything. As usual Alex Michaelides has me hooked! I loved The Silent Patient and can’t wait to see where this story goes. With only a few pages read, I already can tell this is going to be a good one!
