The Cover and the synopsis immediately brings thoughts of The Secret History. I could tell in the first few pages that the author’s writing has improved since The Silent Patient. The style shows more showing than telling. There is suspense that shares just enough to make the reader want to keep going. I am so interested to see why the narrator is so fixated on Edward and what the backstory is. This is excellent already and I can’t wait to dig in deeper!!!
