The Maidens looks to be intriguing and compulsively readable right off the bat! The Greek mythology adds this creepy and almost otherworldly atmosphere to the tale. It makes for an unsettling and delicious read. The setting of Cambridge seems extremely vivid. The cast of characters sound very interesting, all harboring secrets that I want to discover. Mariana has such depth of character. I want to know more about her. The deliberation of each character is one of the most entertaining parts of reading a murder mystery. The setting, the characters, and the twists and turns seem super entertaining. This looks like one of my most anticipated books of the year and I cannot wait to read the entire book!
