I could not think of a title that would do justice to what I just read! The grief was moderately felt as I read Mariana try to remove her love from her life. A love that was ripped away from her.
The circle and its description was something I found interesting. At my job we are learning to run group circles for restorative justice for teens and I've only heard a circle be described in a similar manner just recently and it feels like some powerful ancient ritual. I look forward to seeing how Mariana uses that ritual, she just has to.
Her patient Henry is the pain and guilt people look away from. I wonder if anyone knew if he was being abused before it was reported. We oftentimes do not think of how those children grow up. Henry was ok until he hit college and it went downhill. What triggered it?
