I am a fan of historical fiction, if it is done right, and this was written so amazingly! The character descriptions were great, and it felt as if you were right in the scene along with the characters. I also really enjoyed that I was throughly engaged with the characters and I think because I couldn't predict what was going to happen, really enjoyed the book much more.
It was such a captivating story, and I was not able to figure out ahead of time what exactly would happen with the characters, so I when I did read it, I read the whole thing in 2 sittings. The only reason I had to put the book down was because I had to get some sleep before classes the next morning.
The writing style was wonderful as well, and I would give this book a 5/5! It was one of my favorites so far this year!
