There has been a car accident and a woman is killed. The area is blocked and Grace Healey, after leaving her lover's apartment is on her way to work and is late. She ends up going through Grand Central Station, as she goes through the station, she finds an abandoned suitcase. Inside the suitcase, that said Trigg on the outside, she finds photographs of a young woman.
Three years earlier, 1943 , Special Operation Executive agents are arrested in Marseille, and to stop this from happening again, Eleanor suggests that women be allowed to participate. Eleanor is a secretary and wants to be able to be one of the female agents. When her boss asks her what the women would do, "Courier messages. Transmit by radio. Arm the partisans, blow up
bridges.” was her response.
I loved the fact that all of the women in this story were proud, strong women! Working to do their part to help win the war.
