Heartbreaking and Heartwarming all in one

I am a sucker for WWII stories and I will read pretty much any and all of the books I can find on the subject. There are so many different views and it affected so many people that there will always be another story to be told. If you're like me and looking for a new twist then this book is for you. It follows the life of a girl who was recruited to be a spy, the creator of the women's spy division, and a woman who stumbled upon their history. The story is so heart warming and heart breaking at the same time that I was torn between feeling warm and fuzzy and angry at the same time. I think the draw for me with WWII are the emotions that it causes me to feel and even though a lot of the books I read on this time period are fiction, it will never diminish the fact that things like this actually happened! 4.5 stars.
