I read an exerpt of this book and thoroughly enjoyed it. I loved that this was both a WWII book (I've been reading a lot from this period), but the book also focused on women. Prior to a few years ago there were few stories fiction or nonfiction about women during WWII. The author writes in a perfect amount of detail that makes the pages go quickly, keeping the reader very engaged. This book alternates chapters through multiple characters. While the exercpt didn't tie the characters together, I'm interested to continue reading to see their connection. This book exerpt was engaging, drew me in right away, and was quick. I will be finding this book for purchase to finish! This reads as a must read!
