I really enjoyed this book—historical fiction is one of my favorite genres and this book, which I won from Bookish First, did not disappoint.
It’s told in a dual timeline, one from the pov of a young woman recruited to go undercover in France to be a radio operator & to help the French resistance in the months leading up to DDay.
The other starts 2 years later, after the war is over, from the POV of a young war widow who tries to solve the mystery of what happened to some of the agents who disappeared & were presumed dead.
It was an exciting & fascinating story, giving the reader a glimpse of the crucial roles these amazing women played in the war that went pretty much unknown. Definitely a page turner—once I got going, I finished it in 2 days.
