This was my first historical fiction novel and I was pleasantly surprised about how much I loved it! Right from the beginning, the origins of the missing suitcase immediately draws you into the story. And I will admit that I did cry a little towards the end, but you can't help but become invested in the thing that made me tear up a little. But it was definiely a harsh reality of war. And when a certain element of the book was revealed, I couldn't read it fast enough to find out the truth and it kept me on my toes and guessing what was coming next.

Another aspect I loved, was that the female agents (the group name escapes me) was based on a real life organization that served in Europe during the war, and I just loved that the author was trying to bring those women to life and not let them entirely fade into history.

Either way, I'm eager to read another of Pam's books in the future!
