For me the books I have enjoyed the most generally involve a group of disparate characters coming together for a greater good. In the first three chapters that I have read "The Lost Girls of Paris" seems to fit that parameter.
It's 1946 and Grace is an unhappy young widow. On her way to work one day her curiosity brings into her life the pasts of several other young women. Mysterious circumstances right from the beginning.
The author of "The Lost Girls in Paris" is Pam Jenoff. She had a great success with her last novel, "The Orphan's Train". I've also read her book, "The Kommandant's Girl" which I thought was well written and I enjoyed very much. I am looking forward to reading the rest of "The Lost Girls of Paris."
