The cover first caught my attention. I read the short description and wasn’t certain but decided to read the first glimpse and I’m glad I did! I was never interested in history much growing up. I had a hard time taking any history classes and would barely remember any of the information for longer than I needed to. This book pulls you into a time of war as a woman. It makes you feel the hardship and difficulties that women faced and gives a perspective of the time. The storyline is quite interesting and I want to read more about the women in the photos and how it all fits together.
