My first impression was that I wanted more. Set in a location I am familiar with, and a time period I can relate to, the authenticity of what I read was interesting and held my interest. The description of both the characters and the setting was real to me and the general theme of the book held my interest. The book cover caught my eye and was my first hook in wanting to know about the what was inside. While I am not familiar with the author, I like her style and find her writing interesting and engaging
