The Lost Girls of Paris starts off with Grace finding a seemingly-abandoned suitcase in 1946 and finding some photographs, before going back in time to 1943, when a woman named Eleanor is tasked with recruiting women agents. Eleanor recruits a woman named Marie, who reluctantly leaves behind her young daughter. Already, these three women are fascinating characters. I'm very curious about what Marie will be tasked with, how it affects Eleanor, and how Grace will learn about who the women in the photographs are. The cover makes it clear that this book is historical fiction, and so far seems to be a good fit for the book.
