The Lost Girls of Paris by Pam Jenoff is an engaging historical novel centered around three women, Grace, Eleanor and Marie. Grace discovers an abandoned suitcase in Grand Central Terminal. Upon opening the suitcase labeled with the name Trigg, Grace finds a dozen photographs of different women which she puts in her purse when she quickly evacuates the terminal. These photos will tell the story of these brave women who were trained as secret agents and sent to occupied Europe to aid in the resistance during the war. Grace will surely get pulled into the stories of these women, one in particular will capture her curiosity named Marie, a single mom who must leave her daughter behind to serve her country.
First, the cover of this book is extraordinary. It is beautiful and I was intrigued by the giant wall-clock. It captured my interest immediately. Additionally, I loved the idea of the mysterious abandoned suitcase and the secrets that it holds. I want to know more.
