I want to start with talking about the cover. This book is one of the prettiest books I have at home now. It features a beautiful women on the cover and plays perfectly with the synopsis of the book. The book was a great start to my journey of YA fantasy. I have not read much fantasy books let alone YA fantasy but I think this was a great start. The style of writing was great, very interesting, and easy to read. I have heard that many fantasy books feature hard language, crazy over the top world building, and things you just wouldn't understand if you haven't read much fantasy yet. This book I can say did not do that. I don't to spoil or say too much but the characters were great, the plot was great as well. Not to mention this is a very quick read. Straight to the point and no unnecessary fillage of stories that just take up time and serve no real value. This wasn't like that and just reading the synopsis is good enough to try to get into the book. Hope this helps!
