Once you get past staring at the cover for a couple hours and actually get started on the story, you will get completely sucked into this fantasy world. One of the things I love most about fantasies is the creativity and imagery used to build a brand new world. A world full of intricacies, wonder and magic.The Lost Dreamer does not disappoint in this category. I tend to be one who can typically overlook certain writing structures and really try to focus on the story at hand, and as a result I had a great reading experience!
I love books with multiple points of view, so that was a definite highlight for me. I enjoyed the characters, but I felt there could have been a little more in their development to really make them become their own. The ending is great, and I loved the twist. There is something to be said when aspects of the book aren’t predictable.
I will say that there were points where I was confused as to what was going on and how everything fit together, but in the end I thought it was a good book. I enjoyed reading it and would definitely recommend it to others who like YA fantasy reads.
