Stories don't end, ...they just change shape.

The Lost Dreamer by Lizz Huerta is a unique YA fantasy that highlights meso American culture and mythology. I absolutely loved how the focus was on almost all women characters of all different shapes and sizes. There was an underlying message of body positivity for all women, where we shouldn't feel a need to hide bodily functions such as breast feeding. The story alternates between two narrators, Indir and Saya. I personally was more interested in Saya's storyline but loved how the two storylines ended up tying together in the end. It took a bit for me to become invested in the world and characters, but then once I did, I couldn't put the book down. If you feel like DNFing at any point, I definitely recommend sticking with it.
