I was drawn in by the vivid visual descriptions of the many characters. I LOVED the description of thighs that "rippled with beauty" - what a uniquely lovely phrase. There were a lot of characters and new terms to keep track of, especially in the first chapter, but I'm starting to see the structure of the world. The dialogue had a rhythm to it, especially in the first chapter, which seemed fitting for the servants of the temples. I'm very interested to see how Indir and Saya's stories intersect!
