There's certainly potential in the first two chapters of this book - the different groups and their gifts/talents captured my attention as well as the female-centered story (so far). But I didn't get a sense of the actual story. I don't tend to read many fantasy novels being a bit too impatient to learn new worlds/beings and perhaps this is why I was losing steam reading the first impression. It wasn't entirely clear to me what was happening and I was losing interest with the slow build.
