I had previously only read one book in the zombie apocalypse genre and that was years ago. So, this was a trip of a book for someone new to this style. The pros of this book is the diversity (there’s a gajillion characters with vastly different backgrounds), the writing style is full of imagery and you can perfectly imagine everything that is happening, and it is easy to relate to our world in certain circumstances. For the cons, the first thing is that the books is too long and very intimidating for a lot of people. Another con is that a lot of bias is shown throughout the book against certain demographics of people in society. Having to read a 635 page book can get very annoying as the story progresses. Overall, the book is a good book! It has both good and bad qualities that just balances it out right.
