Ooooookay, first off - it’s a whopper of a story. Over 600 pages and took me one week to finish. But don’t let that weigh you down my friend. The beginning of the novel is excellent and well written. The ending? Eh, not so much. But I can understand why the authors ended the novel the way they did (explained in the afterword). This novel definitely a horror novel and I’m not an horror expert. There are some ‘ekk!’ and ‘yuck’ gore scenes but overall, it was a good read. Wish the authors trimmed it a bit on some chapters for I kept losing interest at midway point of the novel. I did appreciate the multiple points of view of the characters for there is so much going on - especially the world building of the zombie apocalypse.
