The cover is eye catching. You can almost tell what you are in for before you even crack open the book. It does not take long to get to the zombie action. It's a long book that doesn't get bogged down in the middle.
The characters are relatable and each represent a path humanity could take during an apocalyptic event. There is even a few passages in the zombie point of view to help explain their motivation. It manages to be believable and sometimes you feel like you are reading a history of the downfall of humans.
