The cover of this book is classic for a George Romero. I love the classic zombie cover. I love the initial introduction of the "American Model of Lineage and Dimensions" and the character of Hoffman. Hoffman is a very interesting modern character, which takes into account gender norms. As the story continues the excerpt includes an attack in the street and aboard a ship. It's the classic-ness of the zombie apocalypse at the end aboard the ship with zombies licking blood of the boat that I love. The details and gore are great but I love the descriptions. I can't wait to read what happens next!
