Preview is a bit too short to draw a solid impression.

Fifteen pages is kind of short for forming an impression of a book. That said, there is a lot to be said about the writing style. It's punchy and unique but in my view, too distant in perspective when developing the characters. The first chapter especially reminds me of a true crime novel wherein the narrator talks about the characters rather than conveying a more direct connection. The second chapter has a bit more of a conventional approach.
