I really enjoy zombie literature and films. I am especially a fan of George Romero and his use of the zombie as a statement about the state of the society. So, I was pretty excited. I was loving the first two chapters and was thinking it might be the kind of book where you get all the stories and then they come together at the end. Then, all of the sudden, the preview cut to 300 pages later! That pretty much destroyed my interest. I had no connection with the bloody brutes that were portrayed and had no idea what was going on in the story at that point. I was intrigued by what got them on the ship and how everything went down, but I must say I was pretty disappointed in the preview for jumping like that.
As for the cover, I do like it. It is pretty Walking Dead-esque. If that is the vibe that they are going for, then spot on!
