Romero is an absolute legend when it comes to classic horror and zombie-ism. I had no doubt the premise of this book would be fantastic, but with the help of Kraus to complete his unfinished work, the book in just fifteen pages has opened my eyes. I love a good horror movie, but classic horror writers like King don’t cut it for me. Maybe it’s the lack of diversity or the blatant misogyny spread over the course of too many pages (I love King, don’t get me wrong), but horror books haven’t been my bread and butter. But in just a few pages, this novel has begun to change my mind that maybe written horror is not as terrible as I believed it to be. Can not wait for the rest.
