He creates characters that you know or have seen before. He develops plots lines that lure the reader into the conflicts and turmoils that are beneath the surface. He juxtapositions the past, the present, and the future to urge me to want to know what has happened, what is happening, and what will happen. The complexity of the clues and insight urges me continue down the dark and narrow.
