There's plenty of action, and it all seems to involve people being killed and other people pulled apart alive, with sacrifices done in the name of religion. While it is true that many young people have been killed in senseless wars ( and in the name of religion), I am just not in the mood for an end-of-the-world ghoul feast. I admire the author's vivid imagination and the time it took to write this book. I found the data-entry character "The Poet" intriguing and would like to know why she's important... without reading about people screaming as they are eaten alive.
