I was intrigued about the book offering advice on different aspects of friendship and expanding it to soul friendships. It explains how to be a good friend, what types of friends there are, and how to keep and maintain friendships. The writing style is easy and simply well communicated in this book. A lot of the advice especially towards the end seemed to boil down to make a majority of your friends in childhood and college, and adulthood friendships can't replicate those bonds. For example, some friends are almost seasonal, like when you outgrow friends from when you are kids and grow; you may have no reason to still be in touch with them as you get older and life changes. Or, maybe you do make a meaningful connection and it lasts a lifetime. Although the book has good advice it is intended for a specific audience, and it was definitely a short book.
