I want to preface this by saying nonfiction, especially self-help books, typically aren't my thing. However, I was interested in this self-help book in particular due to the topic. I thought it was something I could maybe learn from. Overall, I would say that it is an okay book, as far as self-help books go.

The author lays out ten roles in the Life Council, and later gives ten tips for making and keep friends. But I don't know that I will retain any of the information that she shared.

It seems as though the author was just assigning her many friends the different roles in her life--which is great for her, but I'm not sure how helpful it is to someone that isn't in her position (i.e. has a lot of friends). The book was built off her own life experiences, which is understandable, but I'm not sure how translatable that will be to others who come from different backgrounds and are in different situations than her. I didn't expect her advice to be one size fits all...I guess I just hoped that her advice had more potential to reach a wider audience.
