The Life Council was an informative book for me to read. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve found friendships to be harder to make and harder to maintain. Especially after having my first child four years ago. I’m not sure what happened, but I don’t reach out to people as much as I used to. I could say it’s because I’m busy, but I think it’s more than that.

This book brought some insight into different thoughts I’ve had about friendship. I’m not sure I learned anything life changing or that I didn’t already know. I felt like most of the book was just based on opinions. I’m interested to know more about the research that went into this book.

I liked the way the book was laid out. The 10 friends was an interesting way to divide up the book and talk to the different women.

Overall, the book is interesting, but wasn’t ground breaking for me. I’m sure many people will find it helpful.
