The Life Council: 10 Friends Every Woman Needs by Laura Tremaine offers a "path for a new way to think about friendships, The Life Council will inspire and equip you to be a better friend, make new friends, and appreciate how different types of friendships can bring a richness to your life like never before". From this summary, I had hopes of learning some valuable lessons on how I could improve my current friendship, and make new friends as well. While there were some chapters and information that I found insightful, on the whole I don't feel that most of it was revolutionary. Most of the suggestions I had heard or read before, so it's not that they were bad suggestions, just not new information for me. I'm not sold on the practice of categorizing my friends either, I just don't think that it's necessary. Overall, a few things to give me food for thought, but nothing groundbreaking.
