“The Life Council” had a strong start; I quite enjoyed the poem featured at the start of the book and wish there were more passages like that. The cover was also appealing, the colorful stripes are eye-catching and modern.
However, after finishing the First Look, I’m confident “The Life Council” is not the book for me. The lessons in it come across as too preachy and I don’t see them translating to real life. I wanted to like this book, but it’s just not my kind of read.
