Friendship. An important concept that I have not thought about since I was 8 years old. At that time, my very best friend, Marcia decided that she would befriend a bully. In camp, this bully convinced Marcia to tease and torment me as the goal of six- the week go away camp. Prior to that, my best friend, Shara, when I was 7 years old, let me give her an insulin shot. She was a type one, insulin diabetic since birth. At 10 yrs old, Lisa a classmate and fellow girl scout stole the “big banana pen” my father gave me after his business trip and I treasured it. After ten years of age, I don't recall thinking about friendships, definitions, philosophies, types, or even reasons why to befriend others. As such, I don't know how I rate as a friend. I know, I forget birthdays, and loved ones names. I don't recall their spouses, children, parents, etc. This book is a Bible on Friendship. A must-have - I am better understanding the dictionary definition but overlooking the operational definition of who, what, when, where, and especially why of FRIENDSHIP. Hold on I think the ride will have some turbulence but my eyes will remain open, and I will remain seated until the plane comes to a complete stop.
