The cover is eye catching and the premise is wildly intriguing, however, it’s so wordy. The fact that the blurb picks up in the middle of the book doesn’t help, but it just felt like a giant run on sentence. We were obviously being given the backstory to some of our characters but I couldn’t maintain focus. I really wanted to like this book and I hope starting at the beginning will help.
