I wanted to like this First Look, but it was difficult to read. I read chapter 5 and was disappointed to see more chapters looming ahead. It annoyed me to start with chapter 5 and have 50+ pages of dense reading. I might like this story if I start from the beginning because it sounds like an intriguing generational saga. However, based on the fact that I wasn’t drawn to read more than one chapter, I have to take that as a sign that this book isn’t for me.
